Fun food ideas to do with kids

Hi everyone. Firstly, I know that this isn't an AIBU question, but this is the board I'm used to and you generally get excellent replies. So I'll don my hard hat and go for it Grin

Part of my job - in a deprived school - is running a club for the youngsters (7 10 year olds in particular). I'm free to do what I want with them and last time we decorated and ate cakes. They loved it. Next week will be the last time I'm running the club, and they have asked to do a food based activity once again Grin
Points to consider:

  • I'll be paying for it myself
  • I don't mind that Grin
  • our time is limited. Like, half an hour tops.
  • it can't be too messy and I don't have a sink in the same room

Any ideas for food based games or activities that are cheap, not too messy or lengthy?!

Thanks.

If you're doing the chocolate game you could turn the whole thing into a Xmas party - Xmas music playing on your phone and either do a pass the parcel, or if you think time would be too tight Serve a "buffet" of bucks fizz ( lemonade and orange juice) and a bowl or two of crisps.

If you check out Aldi uk on facebook they made some fantastic xmas skewers...basically melted chocolate, banana and strawberrys. Its a no cook thing ideal for your age range. I am going to do some with my dd this weekend. It looks amazing and as my skill level is not far off zero I think this might be a success!
