I've just been looking at Georgia Tennant's Instagram, and wondering if she had a dream life... She's confident, seems happy, has a creative career, married to David Tennant, rich, good looking... She also has 5 children, four of which are quite young. I've got a 4 month old daughter myself, and it has been so challenging and most days it has felt pretty painful in some way or other - the worry about them, lack of sleep, lack of time to eat and do basic things etc. etc. - here on mumsnet you've all heard or know first hand how hard babies are. (I do also adore her and think it quite obvious that she's the best baby to ever grace planet earth). Everyone I speak to, men and women, say the same. My cousin even said, "The first one, you don't know, so you can be forgiven. But the second is on you!" (She's just had her second).
SO QUESTION IS: looking after babies is such an ordeal, what happens to make people want to have 4 or 5??? Does parenting get a lot more relaxed after your first, so you have less anxiety and can actually enjoy it more? Are children much easier than babies (surely not)? Or do some women just love babies and enjoy every minute and don't find it a painful ordeal? Does it help to be rich? Does it help if you're married to David Tennant??
