There quite possibly could be a thread about this already apologies if so I haven't checked but wandering your opinions on this.

Do you buy/wear Balenciaga and if so will you stop in light of this this?

For those who may be unaware they had two recent ad campaigns, quoted from the newspaper;

Onee of the ads, the designer’s gift collection campaign, featured children posing with the brand’s teddy bear purses, which critics pointed out appear to be wearing BDSM and bondage-inspired accessories.

The second ad under scrutiny is Balenciaga’s Spring 2023 campaign, for its use of a printout of a Supreme Court decision on child pornography.

Agree with the above. I'm concerned they are tyring to get the 'P' into LGBTIQ.

We aren't allowed to make this connection in FWR. Many many times it has been noted of how they are doing this and the people who note it get their posts deleted.

Many people who have hidden FWR won't know what has been going on until it is too late.

Luckily, the people behind this in the fashion industry went a tad too far and their coy nods were too blatant this time.

You dont need snopes or tiktok to look at the original adverts and be disgusted

People like being told what to think. Saves "confusion" and, if challenged, they can say "well, an expert said"..........

TheKeatingFive · 30/11/2022 09:24

It's not really up for debate, they've been very obvious about hiding things in plain sight in their campaigns. References to child abuse cases, the names of pedophiles, artists who specialise in very disturbing images of children.

plus the terrified looking kids posing with bondage teddy bears and empty wine glasses.

Quite why there isn't a massive outcry about this I don't know. It just shows how far gone we are now as a society that normalises pedophilia.

I've never bought their products in my life, but I would look twice now at anyone endorsing the brand in any way. Pedo chic, seriously? 🤢

This. It's not rumour or gossip. The photos are real and it blows my mind that anyone thinks they were a good idea for an ad campaign.

Buzzinwithbez · 30/11/2022 09:27

If you search twitter for the brand, there have been some images taken from one of their designer:s insta accounts (now private) that are very concerning indeed.
What motivates that sort of 'art'?

AlisonDonut · 30/11/2022 09:27

When Heroin Addict Chic just doesn't cut it any more.

I guess 🤢

Safeguarding of children has been under attack for some time. The women pointing this out were called names, arrested, had police visit them to check their thinking, been doxxed, have had vexatious court cases brought against them etc etc. If this ad had been done five years ago everybody but paedophiles would be reeling in disgust. There would be enquiries and celebrities condemning them. Quite telling that the desensitisation campaign has been working. Nothing and no one should be above the Safeguarding of children.

RocketPanda · 30/11/2022 09:34

And there is no such thing as child pornography. It is child sexual abuse. Just as there is no such thing as a child prostitute. That's called a child who has been repeatedly abused.

jibberjab · 30/11/2022 09:36

It's both weird and shocking tbh, I've never worn the brand and definitely won't in the future

I don't want to search for the brand on twitter, can you indicate what the images contain? The castrated toddler book is shocking, who commissions a publication like that? It's not medical imaging to educate doctors and nurses, so who thought it's a greta idea to publish such a book and who buys that gory shite and exhibits it on their coffee table?

The P will never ever get added to the LGBTQ+ but it's already hiding behind the Q.

What Balenciaga did is highly unethical and I hope they get shut down for it, trashy brand bought by vulgar people.

happysunr1se · 30/11/2022 09:38

It's a shame that since Nicholas Ghesquire's departure this heritage brand has been eroded and cheapened (design-wise), reduced to chasing controversy.

Kick the design team out and start again.

Buzzinwithbez · 30/11/2022 09:39

No, sorry. They're there to see and for people to make their own mind up if they want to. I'm not linking to them or describing them

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 30/11/2022 09:40

i am absolutely fucking sick to the back teeth of this bullshit. I hope Balenciaga never recover from this. And the parents, well words fail me tbh. There are some disgusting creatures in this world attempting to normalise child abuse. We all know exactly who they are and chiefly what organisations they are attempting to infiltrate. Whilst their is breath in my body I will fight this demon. I would go to prison before I accept this bullshit narrative.

Namechangedforthisonetoday · 30/11/2022 09:40

*there

BetterBeGryffinphwoar · 30/11/2022 09:42

The P is already there, why do you think they use the all encompassing +?

I feel sorry for actual LGB people because when the backlash comes it will take them with it, even though many of them, particularly the L are victims of this 'ideology'.

Rainbowshit · 30/11/2022 09:48

Agree with those that are saying this is part of the queer theory push to try and normalise paedophilia and sexualise children.

Queer Theory needs to be kept well away from children.

OneOfThoseOldFashionedWomen · 30/11/2022 09:51

Forever42 · 30/11/2022 07:50

Not a Balenciaga wearer but would not purchase from any brand that normalises child pornography.

When it first came out there were posts on here trying to claim the Teddy was dressed as a punk .🤔

Child Sexual Assult. It is not a classification of pornography.

Guiltycat · 30/11/2022 09:58

I agree that the ‘P’ is already claiming protection underneath the LGBT+ umbrella, specifically under ‘Q’.

The push is relentless.

The puppy/fetish/throwing money at children dancing like strippers at pride parades.

The pedophiles hiding behind the sacred caste and ‘link shaming’ to access more victims, like the now fired Mermaids pedo and the NSPCC leather wanker.

Anyone who believes that they ‘accidentally’ received papers on child abuse images for their ad campaign, in conjunction with their dodgy as fuck artists and adverts, is blissfully deceiving themselves.

Guiltycat · 30/11/2022 09:58

‘Kink shaming’

The face of paedophilia isn’t rappers or drug dealers?

Most of the people wearing and modelling this brand aren’t rappers or drug dealers.

Most paedophiles wear suits with ties. Should this clothing be boycotted for fear of looking like one?

Judging people by their appearance is a dangerous thing. It’s often why people fall victim to real dangerous criminals, who look so nice and decent.

There is no ‘most’. It could be anyone. Which is why we need strict safeguarding above all.

Maximinimalist · 30/11/2022 10:14

Which is my point.

Mummyoflittledragon · 30/11/2022 10:18

Wow. It gets worse. I only knew about the teddy bears. I agree that 5 years ago this would have been widely condemned. An Overton window shift moment.

BadFlower · 30/11/2022 10:20

www.spiked-online.com/2022/11/27/balenciaga-and-the-rise-of-paedo-chic/amp/

Because the sad fact is that paedo chic is everywhere right now. In a world saturated with images of kids in adult clothing, and when children bop along to pop and rap tunes that are sexually explicit, and when it is not uncommon to see kids petting men-as-pups at Pride marches or laughing along with drag queens in skimpy outfits, why would anyone bat an eyelid at a pic of a girl on a bed with a kinky bear?
