For me it’s people who drape their hair over the back of their plane seat. Takes obliviousness to other people to a whole new level.

The landlord in our local encourages it. It's brill!

I guess it helps him to pretend the place is busier than it actually is with paying customers.

Each to their own. 😉

newtb · 29/11/2022 12:13

People who take an age to pack their shopping while the supermarket cashier is waiting patiently, then take an age rooting around their bag finding their cheque book/crédit card/cash.

Tlolljs · 29/11/2022 12:16

My tv has nothing on it I want to watch! Surely it’s not only me.
Stickers that don’t come unstuck.
People in the wrong lane at petrol stations who drag the pump over the top of their cars.
People who pretend they’re not cold.

Trez1510 · 29/11/2022 12:33

People in the wrong lane at petrol stations who drag the pump over the top of their cars.

@Tlolljs

Huh? I see that as being very efficient pump usage i.e. not creating a needless massive queue for the 'correct' pump whilst another one lies empty.

Mercy1968 · 29/11/2022 12:35

People who take a plug in heater to work when it's already too hot and wear a flimsy blouse and skirt.
People who hurt animals or children.
People who step in front of my car holding their phone like it's some sort of magic life saving device.
People who bring their home drama and bad moods to work.
People who tell me my adult dc are too old to be living at home. It's my house. Up to me who lives in it and we are in SE England so it's expensive to rent.
Maggots. I hate them.
Drug dealers. Pondlife scum.
People who never offer petrol money when I m kind enough to give them 500 lifts.

Cheeseandlobster · 29/11/2022 12:35

People who breed dogs for money. Particularly designer dogs with a myriad of health problems.

People who buy said designer dogs because " they are just sooooo cute" Idiots the lot of them. Norway have the right idea in banning these breeds full stop

Remainers

Really not fair. The Remainers are suffering in the here and now. Brexiteers should be punished in the hereafter.

Why on earth does that upset you, @Tlolljs ?

Exactly! There's often a sign telling people both sides of pump can be used.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 29/11/2022 13:09

People who step in front of my car holding their phone like it's some sort of magic life saving device

People who walk into the traffic when the lights are green and just hold up a hand expecting everyone to stop.

Deathraystare · 29/11/2022 13:10

Jimy Saville deffo.

But more lightheartedly...People where behind you on the escalator then as you go to walk off cut in front of you -dangerous and rude.

People studying their phones as they go along (yes I know we are all guilty at times|) but tut at you for getting in their way!

At work it is when people phone, the line is awful or they mumble or whatever they say is like one word, no spaces and you ask them to repeat so they talk like you are a toddler.

Also when people phone up and I say sorry, the line is engaged. They act as if this never happens/shouldn't happen "Oh but I need to etc etc"

People who are just rude/obstinate because they want to be. It takes as much effort to be awkward, in fact sometimes more!!

Less light heartedly, anyone who abuses animals and kids.

walkingonsunshinekat · 29/11/2022 13:10

People who won't use both sides of a petrol pump, why the xxxx do you think they install long hoses???

Burn!!!! 😂

ThighMistress · 29/11/2022 13:14

I would like to consign nearly everybody to hell (apart from Jill Scott, who seems lovely).

In no particular order:
motorists who don’t use their indicators- why are you too important to move one digit?
school-run mums in too large cars and just about everything they do
performance parenters in Waitrose (yes, I do know a potato is a tuber, thanks, so need for the smug side-eye at me)
anyone who eats on public transport
anyone who eats KFC (grim grim grim)
adults holding hands who force you off the pavement
dog haterz - why are you screaming about my dog on the lead ?
anyone who lays astroturf in their garden
all virtue-signalling hypocrites (these alone would fill hell)

MrsSkylerWhite · 29/11/2022 13:16

Nigel Farage
Jacob Rees-Mogg
David Cameron

could go on and on along the same lines …….

Tlolljs · 29/11/2022 13:20

I don’t even know why it’s annoying at petrol pumps. I don’t even have to be in the queue and it winds me up. Just looks so awkward somehow.
I wonder if there is an equal number of cars with either left or right hand petrol tanks?

hopeishere · 29/11/2022 13:20

People who put their Christmas tree up before 10 December. Particularly people who put them up in November.

HeatwaveToNightshade · 29/11/2022 13:22

People you stupidly lend money to for something essential, who make absolutely no attempt to pay it back, then post photos on social media of their stupid, smug, happy selves on a luxury holiday abroad. Grrr.

Or other people you stupidly lend money to for something essential, who make absolutely no attempt to pay it back, then they come into a large sum of money and STILL don't make any attempt to pay it back.

Still waiting ...

TakingThePlunge22 · 29/11/2022 13:35

All the people who, when I was trying to juggle working full time with caring my dying father during a pandemic...looked at me in astonishment/disbelief when I told them...

No...I don't have any other family who can step in

"Just get more carers in" isn't a viable option, sadly

Also the one supposed 'carer' who preyed on my mum's vulnerability, took advantage of her, fucked with her mental health and nearly destroyed our relationship while I was trying to grieve the loss of my beloved dad.

TigerRag · 29/11/2022 13:39

Whoever designed my new phone and put the fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone.

When you're in a car and having to wait for the person in the car in front to stop yapping to their friend and move. (No way to go around them)

ThighMistress · 29/11/2022 13:42

On the petrol pump theme - the couple who got petrol, (both) went in and paid, reuturned to their car and THEN proceeded to get out sandwiches, unwrap them…. And at that point they were nearly lynched (well, someone banged on their window). Who the hell sits and eats their lunch at the pump when there is a long queue behind them?!?

FallopianTubeTrain · 29/11/2022 13:45

VeniVidiWeeWee · 29/11/2022 02:44

The people who ONLY go to the pub on Christmas eve and expect to be served before all the locals who drink there every week.

Yes! Add to that people who only go to the pub once a year (usually new years eve), stand at the bar waiting for ages then don't know what they want when it's their turn and start asking to taste all the beers or asking someone across the pub what was that thing aunty joan gave them that time. Just piss off and leave it to someone who knows how pubs work!

Pubs should implement 'just ordering a pint and I know which one I want' lanes at Christmas

hookiewookie29 · 29/11/2022 13:52

People who have very loud conversations on their phone, in public- even worse when its on speaker!
People who buy one drink in a pub or cafe and take up a table for hours!
People who let their kids or dogs, walk on chairs and/ or tables outside pubs

Lol! At least you're honest @Tlolljs - nothing like an irrational pet peeve.

Mine is the name 'Pamela' .... don't get me wrong, I've met some lovely Pamelas and Pams and, even, Pammies. It's just the name annoys the fuck out of me!
