Christmas day

AIBU? I don't usually post on these types on things but I feel like I need a sounding board to help me figure out if I'm being crazy or not.

Christmas day. We have for the last year spent Christmas with my family and prior to that separately with respective family members. We usually have the one single parent in the morning, dinner with another and then drinks in the evening with another. For context this is our little ones first proper Xmas and therefore we have agreed that we should spend it together split between family members.

This year my GF has decided she wants to have Xmas Dinner with her fathers family which is totally fine by me. We agreed that we will spend the night with my mother having a few drinks. GF has invited father who is single but does have 3 other adult children, one of whom lives with him to come with. Again totally fine by me.

I did however ask whether her dad will be following on a later later after we leave from dinner to allow my family some time to open the presents they have for LO with them. Serious offence and was taken to this. I just want LO to get some time with my family on the day as well as its the first proper one and I feel like they would really appreciate it. AIBU?

You need to rewrite this, it doesn't make any sense (at least not to me).

Have Christmas at your house, and invite everyone who wants to come and see your LO to drop in throughout the day.

Sorry so here's the jist! We have agreed to have dinner with GFs family and spend the evening with mine. GF has asked if her family can attend the evening at my parents house which I have no objections.

I simply asked if GF's family will follow a little later on than us, only an hour or so to allow my family to open their presents with and spend a little time with LO.

Sorry it seems my phone does not want to play ball tonight!

I don't think that's unreasonable at all, what's an hour on Christmas day 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Tothemoonandbackx Thank you!* *

@PonyPatter44 unfortunately its not an option as we don't have the room to accommodate everyone 😔

@Keyansier hope my further comment makes a bit more sense!

Sorry I'm completely new to this so trying to figure it all out!* *
