To not give my personal number to work

My manager has created a spreadsheet for our booked Christmas leave .
We have enough cover for the holidays.
She has now asked that we add our personal mobile numbers which will be shared with the wider team, many of whom I don't know and don't work within my area of work.
If I am on approved leave why should I be available to be contacted- I don't work in an area of emergency call outs etc.

I slightly disagree with some posters. GDPR is wide ranging and the manager needs to be aware of their role and responsibilities under GDPR. I would start by checking your employers privacy policy.

@Crochetter email your manager and ask a question.

As the GDPR data controller and data processor of the spreadsheet containing personal data please can you confirm you have put the necessary measures in place to prevent unlawful processing of this data e.g. colleagues using it for non- work related purposes.
