MPs can claim office Christmas parties on expenses

AIBU to think that this is not only unreasonable but completely taking the piss ?IPSA have given the go ahead for MP’s to claim everything except alcohol to fund staff Christmas parties, and the tax payer will foot the bill.

Theoretically, I think it's fine. But if, across the civil service, it is not standard to contribute towards staff christmas parties, then no, they shouldn't.

I'm a public sector worker and have never had my Christmas night out paid for. I've always paid for myself and would expect the same for staff of MPs.
