To turn down a job?

I currently earn £9.50 an hour in a coffee shop. I work 2 days a week give or take, and what I earn varies from £600-£800ish a month.
I applied for a job which I thought would lead to a qualification, but actually when I went for the interview no official qualification would be gained just on the job experience so I would always be classed as 'assistant'
I currently work a weekend day meaning I don't have to pay for childcare. This job is to start with the same wage I'm on now, with the scope for earning more as I learn more on the job.
It's slightly extra travel, and as it's 3 week days I would have to pay for childcare. So I would in theory be worse off financially, for a good few years at least until I started to earn more and my daughter is old enough for free childcare.
I don't dislike my current job, in fact im very happy and love the people I work with.
AIBU to turn a job with long term prospects down for the fact at this moment I would be worse off?

no I don’t think you are being unreasonable. Job satisfaction is as important as being able to pay your bills. You can always do various online free courses if you want to.

It's really difficult because, no offence, working in some coffee shop you don't have any room to move up to much whereas you have more potential in other jobs, but if you're worse off financially then you wonder if it's worth it. I would say stay where you are for the time being if its better off money wise
