A friend of mine and his partner look after my dog every time I go out/away. They adore the dog and won’t take any money (I really have offered)!

What can I buy them for Xmas that properly says thank you? Mid 50s couple, don’t really drink.

thoughts much appreciated!

Do you have a budget?

I'd probably go for a vouchers to a nice local restaurant I think, and put them in a Christmas card expressing your thanks for all the help and you wanted to show them your appreciation by treating them to a meal.

Yes, like the PP, I was thinking some kind of 'experience' that they wouldn't buy for themselves..

Why not make them a 'pamper/be prepared treats' hamper?

I have a neighbour who is the same - has looked after pets for me and refused to take any payment.

So for the past few years I make her a hamper of little treats that I know she wouldn't necessarily buy them for herself.

I include:- crackers for cheese, a few select cheeses, small packs of chocs (Thorntons, galaxy) hot choc spoons/bombs, bubble bath, face packs, hand cream etc, some seeds for her garden for next year. Pickles and jams. Diary for next year and pens, tissues and cough drops etc.

She loves recieving it every year and loves informing me of which item she's discovered in her hamper and is currently using - the seeds were a big hit last year :-)

Good luck!

I like the idea of a hamper - thank you!
