Not sure which jobs to go for?

I currently earn roughly 23-24k a year doing a series of agency jobs. I have 2 permanent, one day a week jobs which I top up with agency work. I work 37-40 hours a week roughly, no overtime.
I do enjoy my current situation, 2 days off a week guaranteed, aside from monday, Thursday and Friday I can choose which days I'm working or not working, and because I'm only doing each one part time I tend to enjoy them more and not get bored with them.
People are nice enough in each job and no issues to speak of, I feel that I've got a fairly good deal but obviously salary is quite low, though I manage well and can save as low outgoings.

However I also applied for a civil service job with a 31k salary, with the Home Office. I haven't had a reply yet, it was a big campaign and I've been told the reply could be another month yet.
If I were to get it though, I'm not sure what to do. Obviously would be looking at a few extra hundred per month which would help me to save for a deposit etc.
However I like what I'm doing now and think I'm lucky.
Just not sure what to do. I'm also currently doing an NVQ for progression in one of my roles.

If it’s the campaign I know about then yes it will be another month or so, lots of applications, but lots of jobs. Civil service has an excellent pension, and good career progression if that’s what you want. A word of warning, if you do get through you’re looking at 6 months for security clearance, so don’t bank on starting before next summer. All the best

6 months?! Wow...what does that consist of exactly? Thanks for the heads up, anyway!
Some of my jobs are school-based and therefore don't pay over holidays so starting in summer would fall well I suppose.

Someone I work with applied last January and starts in a couple of weeks. So really don't hold your breath. I'm surprised they find anyone with time scales like that.

Wow! I guess I'll be staying in my current roles for the foreseeable
