Aibu to ask you for easy, cheap party foods?

I am a single mum of two and have offered to provide some food for the kids’ club Christmas party. I have a disabled child and am so grateful to the club for being so accommodating to my daughter. I am realising now how challenging this will be for me. Why am I such an idiot to take on things I will struggle to deliver? They have accepted my offer. What can I do that will be easy? There will be lots of kids who are halal.

Big rice salad. Cooked rice with bunch of finely chopped salad onions and some grated vegetarian cheese mixed in. Add a little mayo.

Obviously refrigerate as long as possible before.

That’s not party food for kids..

Have done a few self catered kids parties, and some things never get eaten! Depends on numbers, age of children and if you are catering whole party or just part of it. And any dietary requirements. You want easy finger food - no cutlery needed, and not cocktail sticks to use as stabby daggers!!

Frozen cheese onion rolls that you cook, then send in cold. Can usually get in a bag of 50.
Cooked pizza chopped up - supermarket own brand is fine. Margarita will do - a lot of kids don't like fussy toppings.
Can you get vegetarian/quorn / halal mini sausages? They might be popular.
Chop a block of cheddar into chunks.
If you want some veg - then Cucumber and carrot tends to get eaten. Maybe cherry tomatoes (halved).
Tortilla crisps/wotsits/hula hoops
Chocolate rice krispie / cornflake cakes - easy to make in bulk. Cadbury fingers. Party rings. Iced mini gems - all go down well. Or those boxes you often get 2 for ÂŁ3 in tescos with choices of mini flapjacks / crispie cakes/ shortbread etc.

And if only sending a contribution, ask what they already have being contributed so don't double up.

Asda:
Just essentials 12 iced fairy cakes 99p
Larged stonebaked marguerita pizza ÂŁ3 (rectangular so you can cut into fingers easily)
Cherry tomatoes
Grapes
Crisps
Carrot sticks
Pepper sticks

Google how to cut things to get the most portions too.
