Neighbour’s vicious cat

Our neighbour bought a bengal cat which they started letting out this summer. It’s caused us and our other neighbours nothing but grief by attacking our cats resulting in vet visits due to bite wounds, coming into our houses, spraying urine everywhere in gardens and on back doors etc.

This afternoon, I had our backdoor ajar and our baby in the bouncer in the kitchen. Next thing I know, their cat comes flying into the kitchen trying to attack our cat right by our baby in the bouncer. I manage to break up the fight and their cat then goes towards the baby still in attack mode.

This has completely shaken me up and my husband has messaged the neighbour to discuss as their cat is starting to become nuisance.

We’ve offered them solutions in the past such as alternating days/times when each cat goes out, but they never hold their side.

Are we being unreasonable asking them to stick to a timetable?

Any tips welcome and greatly appreciated.

To add - contact the local police to find out was is allowed as defence against this wild cat when it enters your home and area.

@WeebleGirl yes, cats fight but when it overspills into our home, with a small baby, it’s a concern. We shouldn’t have to live our life dictated by their shitty cat. We’ve been reasonable and trying to find a rational way to deal with this situation.

What would you do if this happened to you? Imagine if I hadn’t grabbed the baby quick enough and he ended up being scratched or bitten?

Cats can have adhd, they should take it to a vet or behaviour expert, I tried fostering a bengsl kitten, he was a nightmare and kept being bought back to the rescue centre.

There has been a rational solution given to you time and time again that you are choosing to ignore! You call the RSPCA who will give suitable advice to all concerned including the owners and put them in touch with experienced bengal owners who will offer support training and guidance!
WHY do you keep ignoring this?!

Put your big girl pants on. Cats fight!!

Newsflash: OP's baby is not a cat and thus should not be expected to have to defend himself against a actual cat - especially not when he should be safe in his own home.
