To find my job demeaning?

Been in my job for around a year but in a completely new career.

It involves a lot of work with internal and external stakeholders. Yet everyone ignores me. For example I get told on a call this is extremely urgent and we need it doing asap. I then do my part of the role revert back to them, need them to ok certain things and they won’t reply for days … can hardly be that important then can it.

One woman ignored me for a month. I called, emailed and then she tried to go behind my back and get it signed off by finance without having any kind of contract in place. I don’t think she realised that the final approval was done by me. She never apologised.

I just can’t be bothered anymore. These people are adults and I shouldn’t have to constantly chase people up that I’m actually supporting.

I reminded a late report writer manager of mine 6 times on one day. The last time i reminded him i needed his part of the report, which due to system access only he could do, by COB because i had to send the report to the ceo - and said clearly that if i hadn't received it, there would be a blank space with "refer to X-manager".

So i did. And the shit hit the fan. At first it was all in my direction until i did what pp suggested and just put all the emails i'd been sending plus my phone call log in a mail to the ceo. I had to leave shortly after though so i can't hugely recommend it. (I hated the atmosphere and this was the last straw)
