Health visitor very patronising

So my health visitor came out yesterday for my little boy who is seven months, my other little boy who is three years old was also there he tends to play up a bit when strangers are in the house as he doesn't get my full attention I explained that he is not like this when it's people he knows but she kept repeating that she appreciates that but my son is someone who my younger child will look up to and him behaving in that manner will influence his behaviour too, my son is 3 And I think that comment was completely inappropriate, I feel she is always looking down at me, and trying to tell my son off when I politely asked her to let me discipline my son and that he doesn't need a stranger tell him what he can and can't do. She wasn't best pleased. I don't want her to come back can I request another HV?

Health visitors are trained nurses, every child from birth to five, should have a named health visitors
They do development checks and can refer to.other agencies. If there are concern,s about a child's development
That said ,it's not compulsory to.see them
I just used them when my kids were babies to have their weight checked.

Yes we have well baby visits to make sure they are gaining weight. Usually it’s an actual doctor and nobody knocks on your door. I can appreciate the intention of protecting a defenseless baby. I can also see how this would be distressing since they are strangers and just because someone is a nurse or doctor does not make them an expert on parenting or even a sane person. I believe you had a couple nurses in the UK who was killing newborns…for sport. I totally understand the instinct to keep strangers away from my baby. Also it sounds like doctors and nurses are paid so low there it may attract people who have psych reasons for wanting to do that job (like control issues)

They don't just knock on random doors looking to mistreat newborns🙄
They make actual appointments,it's not compulsory, but they are supposed to , support parents and young children in a variety of ways mothers with PND,concerns over development etc
Yes we have had a couple of nurses convicted of murdering babies and young children
As has America and
If you are going to slag off the UK Healthcare which I agree is far, from perfect maybe you need to look at what's going on in your own country first .
