I.e. the fast pass tickets. Anyone bought them, and were they worth the cost?

Hadn't considered them until a trip to Chessington, where queuing for 60+ mins for most rides made me want to die a painful death. Plus will be with 2 children, aged 8 and 3.

It probably depends when you're going....if you're going at a opeak time it will be expensive but obviously will save hours of queueing.

If you're going at a slow time it'll be less expensive but you'll also be queueing less anyway.

It's also totally relative.....if this is a once in a lifetime DLP trip then go for it, if you're likely to go back frequently then maybe not needed.

Likewise, if you've got a million in the bank go for it, if you're pretty broke then maybe not the best idea.

Sorry a very flim flam answer but it's true that it very much "depends"!

Thanks. Going in Feb, which is apparently when all the French schools are also on a break, which was great planning on my part...!

Prob wont go again - older child getting too old for it, so going now so that it suits both kids age wise.

F*ck it, might just do it!

We've just been and we used Lightening passes (we went to Orlando). It's a pain you have to book at 7am to secure the most popular rides, but they work really well. You can book the next ride as soon as you've used the previous one. Expensive but worth it if you can afford it IMHO.

Premier access pass covers about 14 rides, I think less than half of those your 3 year old would be tall enough for. Definitely factor that into your thinking, check out the ride descriptions first and see how many with fast passes you are likely to do. The rest of the rides you have to queue for with everyone else anyway. You can also just buy premier access passes for individual rides on the Disney app, price varies depending on the ride, may cost less overall if you only paid for it for a couple of rides.
We were there in October half-term, and actually other than the new Spiderman web adventure where the queue was 100 mins, we never queued more than 30 mins for a ride and the parks were busy. We didn't pay for any premier access passes, but we did criss-cross the parks quite a lot moving to rides with shorter queues and we also stayed overnight in a Disney hotel, so we could access early magic hours both days that we had park tickets. You can cram in quite a lot of rides if you are strategic during that hour.

You may also find you do end up going again, there are definitely a number of rides that appeal to older kids, three of the big fast pass rides are rollercoasters where you go upside down, two of which are dark rides you can't see the inversions coming. Even bigger kids enjoy that! Mine are 10 and 8 and would go back in a heartbeat.
