How often is an otherwise clockwork period delayed by stress or travel?!

As the message above says

Currently on cycle day 37….a fair amount of emotional stress recently and a bit of travel, but nothing to throw off time zones

I’m 37….too early for peri menopause?

If I’m pregnant that would be a huge shock….struggled with infertility for so long I’ve not even got any tests in the house!!

Every couple of days I get that cramping feeling like something is about to begin and then…..nothing

It’s an absolutely awful feeling when you just feel uncomfortable, crampy, heavy and on edge but nothing for days on end!!!

Maybe do another test in a few days?

My friend spent 17 years trying to conceive. She finally gave up, and to her surprise found out she was pregnant - 16 weeks before she even realised!!!! She thought it was early menopause.

I've just had this I'm 36 and missed a period which never happens it's finally turned up 50days later after two negative pregnancy tests. I have been very stressed and I had covid

I’m 57 and still having periods.
I have never issued one due to travel or stress.
The only time I’ve not had periods was when I was pregnant and breast feeding.

I'd second the person who suggested anovulatory cycles. I had one a few years ago and it was another 30 days before the next one showed up. I haven't had one since so I think it was a blip.

The time between ovulation and period tends not to change, stress can disrupt ovulation and therefore the period is delayed. So looking back a few weeks it could have been a stressful time around ovulation that caused it. If you're crampy now that could be ovulation and you'll get your period 10-14 days time. With peri your periods often get closer together first, I think that's the more typical symptom, rather than stretching them out.

I've missed quite a few through over exercising, under eating (or other forms of eating disorder), stress, and travel. If you are on cycle day 37 then a test would be clearly positive.
