In the spirit of MN competitive spending and comparison to others, what is your salary?

Can't wait to see how inadequate I am compared to others on here.

@gymgymgim there's a radiator thread I think you'll also enjoy 😉

Preparedforjobnottolast · 05/11/2022 19:03

£21,600-ish for 39 hours, working any 5 days out of 7.
Part hybrid.
My highest paid job so far but a number of colleagues state their pay previously has been higher!
Paid Overtime available which I decline.

This time 10 years for a more higher responsible job that lasted over 4 years I was earning £12,600.

Whoopsies · 05/11/2022 19:12

About 12k pa. A meager sum, but I'm a Ta so only work 33.5 hours a week and get 14 weeks off a year!! I absolutely adore the job so it's worth it for me and I'm very fortunate that dh earns considerably more.

JaceLancs · 05/11/2022 19:13

Around £50k

DrManhattan · 05/11/2022 19:16

Varies. Between £0 and £1M

Beneficialchampion2 · 05/11/2022 19:24

Basic £78k, with shift pay and bonus around £100k.

PurpleFlower1983 · 05/11/2022 19:27

£46k plus £5k rental income.

SavoirFlair · 05/11/2022 19:29

Post like this are such a useless waste of time @gymgymgim

what did you think you were going to get from this?

If you were due to earn more in life, you would have gone out and done the things required. Not post on Mumsnet to sit and wallow in inadequacy

YABVU (and there’s a Chat forum for this stuff too did you know?)

This will obviously be like every other thread of this type. Some people will type 2p, others six figures and everything in between.

What does this spread of figures mean to you OP? How does it benefit you? Surely, you can imagine a range of figures yourself?

Changerofthename1 · 05/11/2022 20:10

70 ish plus bonus and I do absolutely fuck all for it, literally don’t even leave the house.

shivawn · 05/11/2022 20:25

It varies a bit because I get paid premiums for nightshifts and weekends but I used to average around 60k a year. I'm taking reduced hours for parental leave now (30 hours a week instead of 37.5 hours a week) but also getting a 9% raise so I'm so sure yet how that'll work out over a year but I'm guessing around 48k.

AriettyHomily · 05/11/2022 20:30

71+car allowance + bonus.

Not boasting, not lying. Im a middle Werner amongst friends, several are well over £100

Oysterbabe · 05/11/2022 20:33

Enough to buy the things my simple heart desires without worry.

£5,000 per day, per time only 2hrs per day. Life is to expensive at moment though, might have to reduce hrs of my nanny and gardener.

It's tough being poor.

BakedTattie · 05/11/2022 20:38

*4 million. Per hour.

ha. I get 4 million per second.

sorry millisecond

AloysiusBear · 05/11/2022 20:42

107k for 30h/week, plus bonus of c 20%, officially London but the company is headed in europe.

Its quite stressful & hard to switch off from mentally, but in my industry atm its very flexible, its heavily wfh or just a couple of days in an office.

I'm not lying. Mixture of luck, good education/qualifications, 15 yrs of experience. My pay is typical for my level in this industry but im possibly relative young to be at this level (I'm late 30s & peers typically range from 35 to retirement age).

gogohmm · 05/11/2022 21:35

Not much more than minimum wage working with marginalised members of society - pretty much sums up where the priorities in this country are.

As a household we are fortunately not relying on my income! Mortgage is paid off and dp pays most the bills, his salary has an additional zero

A lot more than I realised before I got my latest pension statement. On a non contributory final salary pension and my employers were hammered last year with around 50% of my actual salary again as a pension fund contribution. It’s because I got a promotion and payrise but I hadn’t realised I was that expensive to give more money to
