Eye infection drops - recommendations

I wear contact lenses and think I have some sort of eye infection. In specs all day. Can anyone recommend eye drops (or something else!) that I can buy in pharmacy or supermarket to help?

Golden Eye drops or ointment are good . The pharmacist should be able to advise which one would be suitable depending on the type of infection you may have.

Definitely speak to a pharmacist, there are 3 types of conjunctivitis and each has a recommended treatment.

Speak to the pharmacist. You can buy OTC stuff anywhere, but there are some others whereby you'll need the pharmacist to look at you and approve first. I had conjunctivitis this summer and got some Optrex ones but they are behind the counter and I had to speak to the pharmacist first.

Waiting until I finish work for today and will head to the pharmacy on a way back home. That's rubbish but hopefully drops will help

If you think you have an eye infection go to your optician asap.

Chloramphenicol . It’s an ointment, you can buy OTC. You have to pull your lower lid down, then smear a bit on your lower lid. i’m not sure about wearing your contacts though. I use it because I have a prosthetic eye and sometimes get infections, and I can’t see how that’s a great deal different, but I’d check if I were you.
