Eye infection drops - recommendations

I wear contact lenses and think I have some sort of eye infection. In specs all day. Can anyone recommend eye drops (or something else!) that I can buy in pharmacy or supermarket to help?

Golden Eye drops or ointment are good . The pharmacist should be able to advise which one would be suitable depending on the type of infection you may have.

Definitely speak to a pharmacist, there are 3 types of conjunctivitis and each has a recommended treatment.

Another vote for going with what the Pharmacist recommends Wink

Speak to the pharmacist. You can buy OTC stuff anywhere, but there are some others whereby you'll need the pharmacist to look at you and approve first. I had conjunctivitis this summer and got some Optrex ones but they are behind the counter and I had to speak to the pharmacist first.

Waiting until I finish work for today and will head to the pharmacy on a way back home. That's rubbish but hopefully drops will help

If you think you have an eye infection go to your optician asap.

Chloramphenicol . It’s an ointment, you can buy OTC. You have to pull your lower lid down, then smear a bit on your lower lid. i’m not sure about wearing your contacts though. I use it because I have a prosthetic eye and sometimes get infections, and I can’t see how that’s a great deal different, but I’d check if I were you.
