To think my kitchen has the worst view ever?

Just bought a house. What I didn't notice when viewing was that the kitchen window above the sink has a lovely view onto a brick wall of another part of the house (an extension), about four foot away. You cannot see anything else apart from the brick as it extends in both directions.

Can anyone suggest anything that I could do to the wall to make it a bit nicer to look at while I'm washing up?

I don't want to do anything to the window itself (eg any kind of cover on the glass) as due to having this wall so close to the only window the kitchen is dark enough as it is. So it needs to be something on the wall.

I guess I could do hanging baskets? Ideally something non living so it's nice all year round and is low/no maintenance though.

Ideas please!

My immediate thoughts were to whitewash it and put up plants (even Ikea Fejkas), a mirror, clock or metal garden artwork (like this - Dunelm link) and some pretty fairy lights.

I love the idea of a bird feeder though - that would keep me entertained for ages while doing the dishes!

A warning about bird feeders - rats......

Paul Monsters (Bristol) or Snub23 (Brighton) do geometric designs you might like.

Street Arts Hire (Peterborough) can do anything you want.

My Dog Sighs (Portsmouth) does amazing work which is worth googling. He puts images inside eyes.

Thank you, those are all great. I think Snub23 is my favourite. Paul Monsters is also fab and My Dog Sighs is brilliant but I think my DD might find the eyes a bit scary!

Street Art Hire is really useful.

I'm very convinced this is the best solution, just need to get an idea of costs and convince DH!

After looking at the games room transformation by Snub23 I'm tempted to let them loose on the inside of some of my house too!
