I feel bad but we’ve had 3 knocks now and really don’t want to be disturbed over dinner! Find it very unusual that anyone would encourage DC to do this the night before Halloween? Understand that Monday is a school night but Sunday is too!

AIBU to not answer?

Halloween trick or treating is low key round my area. Have always taught my two children to only knock on door where decorated etc,go uo to the door with them and are polite and keep our social distance. HOWEVER we aren't going this year as its become so " half hearted" post covid and they're are nearly 13 and 10 years old. I've not got any sweets and we will hide in our own house in darkness tonight!😌

Well it’s absolutely lashing rain here - we had a flurry of callers after 5 and I expect the rest have decided to skip it altogether due to the weather. So sorry OP, I’m glad we went last night!

We have no decorations up and I locked the gate about an hour ago. We've still had someone rattling the fuck out of the gate to try and get in. Dog going mental. Get the hint people.

Put a few decorations out but taken down now as we have run out of the sweets and home made cakes we had and need to have dinner as been at work all day.

One kid and friend said is that it when I offered them a cake and a lolly pop. I wasn’t impressed! Hardly any thank yous this evening but that’s some kids !
