I basically just dropped my nappy in front of everyone

I am mortified and just want to go home and hide under my duvet! Logically I know I shouldn't be but....I am. I suffer from really heavy periods due to the luck of having both PCOS and Endo. As a result I wear what are essentially nappies.

The long hotdesk I was sat at and the desk behind were chatting (lunch time) and I needed to change. The pads don't have wrappers so I keep them in a neon makeup bag. Not sure why but I was really self conscious about taking the makeup bag out so decided to transfer the pad to my sleeve. I was trying to be discreet but I fricking fumbled the damn pad which just took off like a fucking paper airplane and landed 2 cm from my neighbours foot. I was horrified and just grabbed it and apologised like a freak. 5+ people must have seen.

I know this may be age related but I'm genuinely upset and just want to change jobs. I'm really concerned some may assume I'm incontinent :'(

I work in a male dominated industry, I wouldn't worry too much, the chaps I work with have wives, daughters, sister's, mothers etc, they know what a sanitary pad is, my lot wouldn't bat an eye lid, they'd be too embarrassed to mention it, I know this as I like to share my menopause stories with them 😂 Let's face it, one day it'll just be one of your funny stories that you tell your mates over a glass or two of wine.
Give yourself a break

In 1 place I worked we had a couple of large wall mounted bathroom cabinets in the ladies. Lots of women kept wash bags in there with deodorant, toothbrush/paste and pads/tampons. Worked very well and nothing wrong with taking a bag into the loo but just saved the hassle. The facilities manager (man) arranged it without being asked.

OP do you work for Caroline Hirons?

Honestly stop worrying
It really is no big deal

A few weeks ago I was rummaging around in my bag looking for tissues whilst I was on a packed tube, I thought I'd got a hold of them and pulled them out only to discover it was an Always night time towel! It's easily done, but try not to worry about it, it's really no big deal.

Inthoughtni was goung to read that it fell used out of your trouser leg. This is totally fine. Just try and forget. If it makes you feel better my hair product looks like a dildo (bed head pink packagjng). It fell iut of my bag once and rolled down the aisle on an aeroplane whilst the searbelt sign was on.

I use the large, shaped pads that are like nappies for what they are made for.

Personally, I am not ashamed of taking a fresh pad out when others see as they are folded anyway and do not look like nappy too much. I fold them open privately.
