Did UK ever had so handsome prime minister?

First I'm not British, so probably not my place to write about this, but I like reading about your history and politics.

I can not name every UK prime minister in the last 100 years, but looking at their pictures I can not remember any other that was so handsome as Rishi Sunak.

His policies aside, he is physically just my type.

Anybody else thinks he is lovely to look at even if you do not agree with his opinions.

I wasn't actually referring to looks there, I meant clothing and grooming.

He dresses smartly which is always nice. It shows respect for your audience as well as yourself. And unlike Boris he seems to be acquainted with the use of a comb. He also has a Labrador.

Blair smirked constantly, Cameron looked faintly supercilious, Brown perpetually miserable and did that weird thing with his mouth.

Yeh agree on last three, plus Burnham mentioned by pp no way

Berrylina · 25/10/2022 15:19

No I don't think but Rishi is ok. He's not a dishy as Obama when he became president, but he's the fittest we've had.

Cameron isn't good looking at all. I think Margaret Thatcher is the best looking of them all., then Rishi or vice versa.

Sorry to take the jam out of your doughnut, all you Rishi-lovers, but once you've heard it you won't be able to unhear it!

Well there goes my afternoon coffee all over my top 😂

DysonSpheres · 25/10/2022 15:21

Oh hell no! No, no🤢. I hate smooth, clean boyish looking men. I need a bit of rough, chunky, rugged, slightly overbearing manliness. Add a bit of grouchiness and a commanding air and that's my man!

I found Boris very attractive when he was Mayor of London. He definitely had the 'it' factor. It was an indefinable something, with that edge of charisma and air of unpredictability that brings out the stupid irrational urge to 'change or tame' him. I could see how women fell into the trap.

Cameron - Another smoothy. Defo No.

John Prescott was more my type although he never became PM.

I met David Blunkett once and he had a certain charisma

MaulPerton · 25/10/2022 15:22

This thread is hilarious. Thanks, everyone.

Anyfeckinusername · 25/10/2022 15:23

He doesn't do it for me! I thought he looked petite at the number 10 door, I don't think he'd reach the knocker!

Scrambledchickens · 25/10/2022 15:23

Yes I think you are right, he also seems to know how to carry himself and not run into fridges etc.

KimberleyClark · 25/10/2022 14:07

Yes they are but mocking someone for something they can’t help is different from just not finding it attractive. You can see that surely.

No one is mocking him for his height. For goodness sake! He happens to be short. Some people don’t find short men attractive. That’s it.

My friend thinks Ian Duncan Smith is handsome I can't figure that one out. Rishi dresses well and is in good shape looks a million times better than BoJo but I don't find him attractive.

There's a piece of video somewhere on youtube of him sitting in the commons, picking his nose and scoffing the bogies. I'm sure she'd not be so smitten if she saw that.

red4321 · 25/10/2022 15:26

John Prescott was more my type although he never became PM.

Nooo! I'm feeling a lot less embarrassed about George Osborne now...

MondayYogurt · 25/10/2022 15:26

He dresses well and has excellent hair. Sounding like Simon Bird is fine. I quite like Simon Bird!
Best looking PM by a mile.

Ok that's it. I'm leaving this thread.

Bluebellfae · 25/10/2022 15:27

Sir Keir and nick clegg 👀

Vanderpump · 25/10/2022 15:27

Oh god no

faw2009 · 25/10/2022 15:27

Gordon Brown for me. Intelligent, good looking, looks like he knows what he's doing! Super hot.

Andy Burnham, even more attractive with glasses!

Keir, very handsome.

If a Tory, then Raab, but only if he didn't talk.

ohyouknowwhatshername · 25/10/2022 15:27

I think he's gorgeous. I'm 5 foot 2, so he'd be perfect for me. Love a skinny man too. He's got cute sticky out ears, always good for something to hang on to when you're... you know 😚

Vanderpump · 25/10/2022 15:28

Keir stammer reminds me of the guy Bridget Jones mum ran off with

Shhhdontsay · 25/10/2022 15:28

My extensive research has led me to give my vote to Harold Wilson. He has a certain Christopher Plummer look that I find rather appealing.

catsonahottinroof · 25/10/2022 15:29

Not Sir Keir and anyway, he doesn't count as he hasn't been pm yet.

Elderflower14 · 25/10/2022 15:30

Crikeyalmighty · 25/10/2022 14:42

Was never PM but I always fancied Andy Burnham

Me too!!

lifeturnsonadime · 25/10/2022 15:30

Keir Starmer reminds me of Noddy!

ilovesooty · 25/10/2022 15:30

Tsort · 25/10/2022 13:01

Then why would you both click and comment on a thread that clearly states it’s about his attractiveness? To make sure we all know you don’t care?

I don't have to justify to you whether or how I choose to respond to a thread provided I post within the talk guidelines. I happen to think too much store is set by looks and personality in politics and that is to the detriment of the electorate.

Emotionalsupportviper · 25/10/2022 15:31

Saracen · 25/10/2022 14:58

Wow, that is brilliant! Thank you.

I agree - superb mimicry.

Particularly liked our own (politically) late beloved leader, Johnson, practically loping along on his knuckles.
