How hard is it to just read the damn instructions!?

I have been bombarded with instances of this in all walks of life over the past week.

At work - how do I do XYZ?! I've written multiple guidance documents that are available on the resource centre and signposted all over the place. Someone asked me last week how to do something, I pointed them to the guidance doc, they said thank you & successfully completed the task, and then today asked me again how to do XYZ! You just fucking did it! And you've got a document outlining it!

Family - bought my sister an air fryer for her birthday, on her request. "how do I use it?" I don't fucking know, I don't own one! Presumably there was an instructions leaflet in the box?

At home - "the thermostat isn't working, how do I fix it?" I don't know DH, I'm not a plumber, have you checked the manual?

On here - "I've been making formula like this, is that ok?" No, did you read the instructions on the box?

It feels like everywhere I look, people are asking stupid questions without even thinking about trying to answer them themselves! It's driving me mad. What has happened to common sense?! I'm gonna buy shares in lmgtfy.com

It does irritate me too, though to be fair, I find that not everything does come with full instructions these days. Sometimes you do have to look online and download them.

Still no need for the questions without at least trying to find out the answers though.

The thing I find irritating is when people don't read an email. I sent one last week saying "what do you want me to do about a time slot for the meeting on Wednesday? Person A is available between 3-4pm and Person B is available between 2-2.45pm so I am not sure what to do that suits you both"

I got back "I thought we were meeting Wednesday? I can only do Wednesday this week"

FFS..

Ah yes, “per my last email” has become a catch phrase in our house. It means you all ready have that information available to you I’m not bloody Alexa (as in the smart device bint). Because obviously when you get an email cc’ing your boss because someone hasn’t read the fucking email you sent, after the meeting, after the training, you have to write “per my last email (see attached) I have issued multiple instructions and gone over this in person, do you need additional support to perform this kind of task?” Loo
this does not apply, however, when the stupid tv box thing with 15 remotes has updated and everything has moved. In that circumstance I allowed to yell until someone comes and fixes if for me (usually leaving the finger paining to do it 😳)
