To be bored by everything Halloween themed

I would love to find some Halloween activities for my children this half term that aren't Halloween themed. I'm not saying that from a religious point of view or anything. It's just that it seems to have become totally saturated with Halloween and it's just kind of annoying tbh. It's obviously fun for children but there are only so many pumpkin patches, spooky crafts and trails you want to do really.

We went to an apple day yesterday at a woodland centre which was really nice. Just an autumn themed event for families. But everything else I've come across is Halloween.

I probably sounds like a right kill joy, I'm honestly not but it's become too much. Christmas can be similar in many ways.

Make soup, collect conkers, stick leaves on jars with Modge Podge to make candle holders, do apple ducking, apple printing (like potato prints), long cycle trip with hot choc in flask, make ginger biscuits with autumn-themed cutters, make spiced apple juice, get outside as much as possible, plant bulbs in garden or in pots for Christmas, go on an organised nature walk in a park, get Ladybird What to Look for in Autumn book and look for it!

Don't apologise @RookSoup - everyone knew what you meant but some people see giving people a kicking for no reason as a sport

Excuse me? I did not know what the OP meant and I still don't from their recent reply. It's like saying "I would like to find Christmas activities for my children that aren't Christmas themed". So... activities?

Why do you need to do "themed" stuff at all? Just do usual "holiday" stuff.
Swimming, soft play, cinema, walk round the local country park etc. Maybe sign them up for a day or two at somewhere like SuperCamps or Kings Camps?

@Keyansier that's exactly what she's saying. She wants to find activities that aren't Halloween themed. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.

@girlmom21

"wants to find activities that aren't Halloween themed"

"wants to find Halloween activities that aren't Halloween themed"

These are two very different sentences.

@Keyansier if you're dead-set on being difficult, of course they are. If you have the tiniest amount of common sense, not so much.

Three replies within the first ten minutes didn't understand the OP and it was other posters that had to fill in explanations.

Halloween originated in Scotland.

It did. but it didn't involve plastic tat.

Such a waste of resources.
