To feel a bit ridiculous about when I gave birth

I was absolutely terrified of giving birth, and I was frightened / squeamish about epidurals too.

I ended up being induced and it was all a bit of a shambles but I remember panicking at the slightest hint of pain and they ended up giving me an EMCS. But to be honest I don’t think I should have needed it if I’d just been a bit calmer and not panicked.

Does anyone work in delivery - is it likely I had a C section because I was such hard work Blush

It doesn’t help if they lie, which they did in my niece’s case and it took eight years for those lies to be expose due to the tireless and brave campaigning if the mothers and fathers.

So sorry for the loss of your beloved niece 💐

OP, I doubt the hospital wanted to go to the expense of surgery just because they thought you were annoying!! It’s very costly and your recovery takes longer.

More likely you were not progressing with your labour and the length of time you’d been in labour meant they wanted the baby out.

Thank you! I think our family experience of the loss of my parents’ grandchild, my sister in law’s Parents’ grandchild and ultimately the loss my sister in law and brother experienced of course has shaped our thoughts.

The report at least acknowledged failings and I guess we can only hope it doesn’t happen to other families x

my sister in law being blamed for the death of her daughter has to be a low for the nhs and I’m glad it’s been exposed for the lie it was.
