While im moaning about MIL, we were there yesterday and i was less than subtle about shooing her cat away from DD. She didnt say anything but looked . I like cats and we have a dog who is always licking DD, but i KNOW my dog is wormed, whereas she blatantly refuses to worm, or let me worm her cat (the tablets are too big and might make it sick!! and it wont eat it in its food!!]

lazarou - that doesn't work with my cats. And I've been trying for 15 years! Some cats get wise to it ...

Get vial from vet, put the liquid on its neck. Simple. That's the modern way.

mumzyof2 · 27/01/2008 19:47

Roll the tablet up in a piece of ham/beef - even if they know theres a tablet in it, they cant resist.
OR
Crush the tablet between two spoons, and put one half in one half of a tin of tuna, and the other half in the rest. The amount of tablet in the tuna is too small for the cats to know about.
LEM hates her mil.

pointy dog I think that's flea treatment not worms - or at least the vet certainly uses pills. We had a lot of experience of pills dosing, especially with one of our cats who had to have steriods regularly and it was very difficult (we tried wrapped in various foods, but alwasy ended up wrapping her in a towel and forcing it into her - stressful!). On the other hand at the vet, it was no problem...

you can buy a spot on wormer now i keep meaning to take some up to MIL, but lets face it, im a crap DIL

Actually i do feel really bad about these threads now, because she is a really nice person. And i suppose the cat is pretty

nope, definitely worms. My vet did it last August. We don't get the cat fleaed.
