What is the maximum interval between baby immunisations

Doctor surgery cancelled baby injections (third and final round)

Nurse off with covid. Second time she's had covid in like.. 7 weeks as the cancelled the other ones too)

No appointments to re book.

No availability until end of November.

She's already had 6 weeks between the injections?

I don't want to have to start the whole course again:

Info I can see doesn't stipulate the exact maximum time frame that can be left:
I thought you were supposed to do it whilst the baby still had the anti bodies

AIBU to go absolutely nuclear? I arranged child care for all of my kids including school run, paid for parking to attend to be told it was cancelled, they didn't contact me and they know me and I'm always available to talk to them by text email or phone

What can I do? I called the local pharmacy but he isn't qualified to give those immunisations 🥹

I thought it was approx 4 weeks

There isn't one. Four weeks is the recommended gap but if that is missed you just pick up where you left off. No need to restart the course of vaccine.
Practice nurse.

Thank you that is helpful

But why is it recommended then it must make a difference if you left it 12 weeks instead of 4, surely? Less anti bodies no?

There’s isn’t one. You don’t need to restart a course if there is a delay.
I understand it’s not ideal for you and your child but the nurse is allowed to be off sick…

nicknamehelp · 18/10/2022 15:33

Makes no difference just has to be at least 4 weeks.

don’t know where you are based but this is the current guidance for England regarding scheduling.

Turquoisesock · 18/10/2022 15:38

We follow an alternative vaccine schedule (only 1 vaccine at a time from 12 weeks not 8 and we have 2-3 months between) the gp surgery said it was fine

cultkid · 18/10/2022 15:50

@MonkeyPuddle

Thank you so much for that link

the windows depend on individual vaccines. We followed a delayed schedule and only did one at a time due to a family history of reactions. You can actually spread them out quite a bit and have them be just as effective. i had it all worked out in a spreadsheet to make sure we didn’t violate any effectiveness guidelines, but it was really not difficult at all.

cultkid · 18/10/2022 15:51

I started her later at about 16 weeks old maybe older yes @Turquoisesock I read about separating them
