Did anyone else do NOTHING with the £250 Child Trust Fund

I just left it where it was and need to find out where it is as DS turns 18 on December 🤔

What did everyone else do?

@sashagabadon It’s with Natwest, but tbh I’ve been doing a sterling job of ignoring it so I’m not sure of details.

Free Government money not invested and not cared about? Seriously!?

Left it alone - couldn’t really afford to add to it he got £550 and paid for his first years insurance

My eldest is the only one of my 5 who got one, and we've moved so many times since she was born that I completely lost track of it. My Great Aunt was kind enough to set up accounts for them all though, so they do each have a fund, though now she has passed away, I'm going to need to start topping them up as regularly as I can.

I did the same, you can apply online on the gov website to find out where it is

If they are over 18 like my son they have to do it . I put a bit into each month but not a lot and he got about £2500 back

Well, I put a bit in it for the first few years, nothing after that

I always felt bad for leaving it, but we did.

Then dd had a huge mental health crisis, estranged from us in very worrying circumstances, and said she would be accessing it to pay for god knows what.

Then I was glad. 18 is not a good age to get a lot of money IMO
