How do I keep packets of biscuits fresh?

Especially the 40p packets of biscuits from supermarkets. I seem to waste as much on tin foil attempting to keep the packets fresh.

Biscuit tin?
Tupperware?

friedbrainrightnow · 15/10/2022 19:50

Tupperware OP

MagentaRocks · 15/10/2022 19:50

Put them in Tupperware

FuckYouBing · 15/10/2022 19:50

An airtight container.

ShaunaTheSheep · 15/10/2022 19:50

Or just eat them in one go.

NannyR · 15/10/2022 19:50

Airtight box or biscuit tin????

doodlejump1980 · 15/10/2022 19:50

Eat them all in one go

XenoBitch · 15/10/2022 19:51

Tupperware.

You have great self restraint Grin

IncessantNameChanger · 15/10/2022 19:51

Get some teenagers, they won't ever go stale ( or last 24 hours)

Bingbangbongbash · 15/10/2022 19:51

Silicon cover from IKEA - they come in packs of 3 or 4 and one of the sizes is perfect for the end of a roll. Mixed packets need more thought, but I think Tupperware is the answer.

lannistunut · 15/10/2022 19:52

Air tight container or freeze some or eat them faster

How long are you keeping them? No biscuit has ever gone soft in this house!

Is this a stealth boast about how much willpower you have??

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 15/10/2022 19:53

Biscuit tin

I wondered about this. We seem to have several packets on the go at once and the tupperware doesn't quite do the job. Thanks.

Eat them in a single sitting

Deadringer · 15/10/2022 19:59

My mum keeps them in pringle tins.

AnathemaPulsifer · 15/10/2022 20:01

Just get a supply of plastic clips and clip each package closed. They stay fresh for aaaages.

Walkacrossthesand · 15/10/2022 20:01

Clothes pegs do the same job as plastic clips once you've got a bit of packet-end free

AloysiusBear · 15/10/2022 20:02

This is surely why biscuit tins were invented?!

Energypanic · 15/10/2022 20:02

Scoff them all!

Stickstickstickstickstick · 15/10/2022 20:03

Klippitz.

Ikea do 30 for the price of 5 from lakeland. We use them for everything. In the freezer to keep the peas in the bag, to keep bread fresh, keep biscuits and crisps crunchy… and it means everything stays in its original packaging.

Yeah but only when a few have been eaten!

Why does Tupperware (other airtight containers also do the job) not work for you? That's pretty much the standard/best approach and you won't get anything better with silicone/foil/standard biscuit tins.

I have one large tupperware box which doesn't work. Replacing it seems expensive.

Food clips. I pick them up from IKEA or home bargains, it's usually a pound or two for loads of them, and they are so useful.
