Please… somebody tell me I’m not the only person to find her so completely tone deaf, given her position as an “influencer” and the current economy?!

I think the problem with Mrs Hinch is she used to be fairly relatable. Cleaning and cheap decor.

Now she is absolutely minted and just shows her llamas. As if owning a llama is normal! She is no longer a cleaning tips account, more of a look at my beautiful house and how much money I have, here- have an ad for flash spray.

There was an absolutely identical thread done about this about a month ago, lots of people slagging her off then too. If you don’t like her just don’t follow her! Others enjoy following her so good for them.

All influencers are tone deaf really. And most of them are involved in some sort of MLM. The amount of money some of them spend on clothing/food hauls is astounding really, I find it all a bit sad

I unfollowed Mrs Hinch a long time ago and I'd actually forgotten about her until recently so it's pretty easy to avoid influencers you don't like these days. It's such a fickle career as well, always someone new waiting in the wings to become more famous.

She may not be super intelligent but she’s too smart to be poor.

TheWelshposter · 14/10/2022 19:37

She's a salesperson who is very good at making her followers feel like she loves them all and that they should buy her stuff.

She encourages bulk buying of plastic wrapped chemicals that she pours down sinks and toilets. Bad for the environment .
If you search her name you're definitely not the only one who doesn't understand the popularity.

mincepi · 15/10/2022 11:41

I haven't seen anything to do with her for years, simply because I stopped following her. It's that easy OP Smile

The influencer culture just slaps of desperation and triviality.

Honestly if I was that desperate for money I'd rather go on the game . Prostitution has more dignity

Generally I'm not keen on the regressive nonsense that is making cleaning seem like a Special Fun Hobby for women, the unnecessary amount of plastic she uses or the pointless/potentially dangerous mixing of cleaning stuff.

And like all influencers, she displays an unrealistic image that will have people in perfectly ordinary houses with busy lives feeling like they're not up to scratch - only instead of encouraging diet culture or fast fashion, this one has women worrying they're not fucking cleaning enough.

Mrs Hinch- patron saint of Chavs

Hankunamatata · 04/01/2023 22:37

Doesn't she just try to pedal bog standard cleaning products?

red4321 · 05/01/2023 07:51

Have to say the Hinch 'hauls' set my teeth on edge, where she fills a trolley at B&M or similar with rubbish she doesn't need. Then goes through it item by item at home.

I find her conspicuous consumption quite insensitive during a cost of living crisis. I suspect the average Hincher can't drop £150 on a trolley of pointless crap so I don't know why she doesn't read the room a bit.

She's a saleswoman and most of her posts are ads. There's nothing wrong with that per se but she's been quite canny in making her followers think she's their best friend. It just feels a bit exploitative, particularly of people on lower incomes, but that's up to them.
