Ant, Dec, Holly, Phil & the weirdness of it all

Ant & Dec reportedly not attending the Nta’s due to illness, talks of H & P leaving This morning & both of them (especially Phil) being in the papers daily…is something going on 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know what I think is weird. The national obsession with these people. I don't watch a single programme featuring any of them and yet still I see endless threads and social media comments about them.

They’ve been the same management for about 20 years. Holly set up her own management company (about 2 years ago). How is this any kind of connection? There is zero link other than the one in your head.

I find pretty much all of the itv ‘talent’ unbearable. Lots of them also unsettle me, like there is a little cult or something behind the scenes that makes them perfect for putting on a smiling face to cover mindless daytime TV or naff prime time entertainment. I feel ITV morning and daytime selection is heavily biased and is designed to push the culture and viewpoints of the population in one direction in a very cohesive way. It is so very fake, the presenters too and I think far more so than any other tv channel.

Like if this country ended up in a 1984 type situation or a North Korean cult of leadership, it would be itv and their talent who would be the faces of the propaganda to the population.

I think you need to spend less time online.

What has been on the internet and papers? That they’re the same management company? As @YellowAndGreenToBeSeen says, this has been the case for a long time (until Holly left and set up her own).
Why does them being the same management company mean there is a link between Ant and Dec not fulfilling some work commitments due to covid and Holly and Phil being slagged off in the papers due to queue gate etc?
