Daily mail article, tips for relationships

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11284971/amp/Relationship-therapist-reveals-five-things-couples-make-romance-last.html

This article has appeared previously saying the same thing in a different way.
I normally just scroll on but felt so annoyed by it this time.
I am currently having an issue in my marriage where I believe that having sex doesn’t give me the intimacy I need. I can’t achieve closeness through sex without the caring and consideration from my partner in other aspects of life.
this article didn’t even mention a tiny aspect of being kind or considerate as a relationship “tip”, but the sex scheduling was, I don’t get it.

Is it just me??

I'm not clicking on a Mail link, & the best advice I can give you is not to take ANY advice from this godawful rag OP.

The Mail thinks that women exist as entertainment, & that our bodies are public property to be pored over & criticised. So don't be surprised that it also advocates that women accept scheduled sex whether they feel like it or not.

Stop reading the bloody thing - it's disgusting.

Another Daily Mail reader complaining about what they read in the Daily Mail 🙄

Why on earth would you give a second thought to relationship 'advice' from the DM?

Toomanysleepycats · 07/10/2022 11:32

I agree, but it says she is an expert in dealing with love and libido so I think this is why it comes across it does.

Shes just dealing with the intimacy side of a relationship, and seems to be assuming that all the other aspects of being a couple don’t feed into the state of your sex life.

I guess she’s just posting for views.

Thank you all for your advice, I will ignore it. (Ie the paper).

I do wonder how many people who read the mail are influenced by articles such as these…or does everyone read it but not take it seriously?!

thank you again for the sanity check that I very much needed.

I know anecdotes don't equal data but in my personal experience the only Daily Mail readers I've knowingly come across, have been hateful, racist little shits although of course they don't see themselves that way.

Scheduled sex? 🤣🤣🤣 what a turn off! They are clueless. Take what ever the DM says with a pinch of salt!
