With the DC? And what cruises lines would you recommend?

YANBU- it’s worth taking the DC on a cruise holiday
YABU- don’t do it, it’s not worth it

I couldn't think of anything worse.

Both my sisters in law regularly go cruising. But then, they struggle to think for themselves 😉

Lovely.

I like cruising but avoid the huge resort ships, I prefer smaller more boutiquey ones with no formal dressing required just smart casual all the way, that can access more out of the way places.

Royal carribean. Kids loved it and are always asking to go back.

Were there interconnecting rooms? Yes there are connecting rooms, you can book two and have the dividing door open. We’ve done it with younger DC with ocean view (a window) cabins and the two rooms were lovely and light and like a big suite.
Then as the DC got older we did lots of cruises with connecting balconies, we kept the internal door shut and had the balcony divider opened. That way we all got privacy but could enjoy the double length balcony together.
I actually prefer booking two cabins over a suite, having the two balconies and double the wardrobe space is fab and you get to choose exactly where you want your accommodation to be.

Sorry that should I say having two bathrooms.

@Whistlesandbell that’s great to know, thanks.

Yes. Love cruising and have done multiple times with young children. It's a case of choosing the right cruise line and ship. We found NCL, Royal Caribbean and P&O all very good for kids.
