I have been looking at doing small things such as:-
Royal Mail Postal Monitoring panel
Swagbucks etc

Do you do anything like this and any ideas would be appreciated?

I used to do agency work.

mintich · 29/09/2022 17:34

I do Match Betting through the Profit Accumulator site. I make sweets for parties, events etc and I used to make jewellery to sell at craft fairs and small business fairs. I really want to start that again.
I am really interested to hear what others do. Multiple streams of income is the way to go!

mintich · 29/09/2022 17:35

I have also done Seasonal work at Royal Mail but that was anout 10 years ago. I enjoyed it though!

I work full time and then also work Saturday morning in a supermarket.

Iggi999 · 29/09/2022 17:56

I do Yougov surveys, but it takes so long to earn the £50. Maybe Prolific are better, I don't know.

iratepirate · 29/09/2022 18:02

I’ve done lots of things for extra cash over the years including:

mystery shopping
survey sites
ironing
selling used shoes (and slightly weirder things) online
taking in alterations or mending jobs
sewing commissions
babysitting
bar work

Punkypinky · 29/09/2022 18:06

There's used to be a making £10 a day thread that popped up a lot with loads of these kinds of ideas on them might be worth a search?

ThirtyThreeTrees · 29/09/2022 18:26

I don't any more but I used to do casual waitressing in addition to my full time job.

They use to offer me hours when they had a large function like a wedding or event or the odd weekend when they were really short staffed.

It was decent enough money for 4 hours or do and I also got a portion of the tip for the event.

If you've waitressed or done bar work before, it might be worth checking out.

ThirtyThreeTrees · 29/09/2022 18:28

A friend also works on a florist for Christmas and Valentine's and for the odd funeral.

She isn't a florist but works on the deliveries, ribbons, wrapping and answering phones etc.

Work overtime
Get a second PT job
Rent out a room
Sell at a car boot sale / online
Premium bonds
Some banks pay £5 a month or cash back on purchases or utilities
Change bank account, some banks were offering £150 to change
Refer a friend schemes for employees for people to join the company
Refer a friend for some investments (pre covid, this has now ceased)
Buy & sell stocks & shares

Judellie · 29/09/2022 18:38

Litterlotto? Get the app, take a picture of your hand binning some rubbish, submit it and you may win a spot prize of £5, there's also a weekly draw for £1000. Only thing is, you're not guaranteed a win. I have won 2 x £5 a month since I started in June but no idea if I am typical or not.

Year0fGreatChange · 29/09/2022 18:41

Use Olio & Too Good To Go food waste apps

Wdib78 · 29/09/2022 18:44

I'm on lots of survey sites, I cant even remember them all 🤭
Gfk rewards (win amazon vouchers)
Toluna
Yougov
Ipsos
One poll
Maximiles
Panelbase
Life points
Newvistalive
Inboxpounds
I use the reward money or vouchers to buy the families Christmas present. You also get the occasional product samples to review.

GreenGreenGrass23 · 29/09/2022 18:44

I’m a business coach myself and teach people to set up online businesses with their expertise.

I also rent my house out for film and photo shoots there are websites you can register to. They want all kinds of houses.

My daughters buy things at TKMaxx and Pound shop and sell for small mark up here and there or take my families things they want to get rid of and do all the advertising, admin and postage and split the profits with the owner.

My eldest (17) does virtual admin work for business owners helping with their social media for example.

DoodlePug · 29/09/2022 18:44

Matched betting. Use oddsmonkey or profit accumulator, it's guaranteed money but you need some money to get started.

Can make a few hundred the first month then maybe £20-£30 a week for an hour or twos work.

caringcarer · 29/09/2022 18:50

£175 available to change bank account. Natwest
Some bank accounts (Santander) pay £175 switch fee and also pay a percentage back for each bill like council tax, water and gas/electricity. Even with £3 charge per month you still make more than that back from bills paid.
Babysitting
Dog walking/holiday care
Cat feeding/holiday care
Making cakes for kids parties if you have that talent.
Census form delivery
Rent out a room seems to bring in a good regular amount providing you get along with lodger. Some do weekday places only as they work away then go home Friday after work and return on Sunday evening. Ok if you have a spare room.
I know someone who.moved her 2 boys in together to let the other room out. It worked out as she got on well with lady who lodged.
