Retirement at 50 yrs anyone? Are you happy? Do you regret it? Absolutely enjoyed?

Just that really. Not an aibu but love to hear your experiences.
Got a couple of health issues though under control but I don't feel like working when it won't make a great difference in money tbh. I enjoy simple things in life, particularly love the freedom! No commitments.

But...sometimes I think fifties is too early for a woman to retire these days and times.
Enlighten me please, thank you!

I finished teaching aged 51. I actually did enjoy the actual job, but the politics / stress, etc, became too much. Anyway, that's another thread!
I'd paid my mortgage, had savings ( not lots, but enough), and wanted to spend more time with my granddaughter. I've loved it. I didn't work for the first 18 months ; I went away a lot ( cheaper), then covid interrupted my plans. I worked as a cleaner through covid ( still do, but only 8 hours a week). I have a teacher's pension so this supplements my small income.

I'm fitter and happier since 'retiring'.
Go for it !
I've been told I could go back to my teaching job, and whilst I never say never, I can't see it happening.
