To think weighted blankets are restricting and uncomfortable

So I jumped on the fad and got a weighted blanket. One of those filled with glass beads. I got the heaviest one I could find. However I don’t understand the rave reviews they receive. It’s like being crushed as you sleep! am I doing something wrong? Is it meant to be comfortable??

I'm autistic and I love mine. I don't use it all the time though, only if I'm feeling especially overwhelmed and anxious.

Same
I can stop a panic attack with mine. Really helpful.

You are mean to buy specific weight in ratio ti your body weight, not sure on exact figures without googling and you've said yourself you bought the heaviest you could find...

some people like them. It can go either way.

DS is autistic and everyone kept saying how a weighted blanket will help him settle, it had no effect on him whatsoever so a total waste of time.

I agree they're very 'marmite'. DD (not autistic) loves hers. I tried it and hated it, it made me feel too constricted. But then I hate mummy sleeping bags because I feel constricted.

This. I adore mine but I am autistic and I can’t sleep without it.
