To think that you can get frozen shoulder in your hip?

Or am I going mad?

Had frozen shoulder on the left about three yrs ago. Then right shoulder froze 2yrs ago and is still problematic.

Been having hip pain about a month. Got to the point where I cannot sleep because of pain. So it's happening quite quickly.

Had a lightbulb moment this morning that the process of worsening pain is similar to what happened with shoulders.

Can any other joints 'freeze' the same as shoulders?

I feel slightly unhinged today because of the sheer amount of pain I'm in. I've been crying with pain (and frustration).

I have to do various hip stretches to unlock one of mine, several times a week or it seizes up with pain and makes walking difficult.

Hip impingement. Get yourself properly treated at an osteopath.

I’ve had it it both shoulders as well. I hope not!

Is it bursitis? I had it a couple of months ago and it went of for about six weeks. Walking, sitting and even lying in the wrong position we're all agony. Painkillers helped a bit, but it did just gradually get better without any intervention.

Sounds like bursitis. When the bursa gets inflamed. Excruciating. There’s various exercises you can do to strengthen the relevant muscles that support the hip.
Green tea is very anti inflammatory. I hate the stuff but found I didn’t mind it if I put it in with my regular tea or a peppermint one. Pain reduced drastically within a fortnight, was having about six cups a day though 🤣

My daughter just messaged her friend (NHS physio).

She told her frozen joints are known as adhesive capsulitis. Can indeed affect hip joints.

More common in women. Even more common in women with Hashimoto's (me), (and diabetes). Even more common if other joints have been affected (both my shoulders).

Hoping it isn't frozen hip - can't face it 😩

Have a sinking feeling as I thought this pain was following same pattern as shoulders did.

It was the 'not sleeping because of the pain' that was the worst symptom with the shoulders. Didn't sleep a wink last night because of hip/lower back/groin pain.
