Heavily pregnant & Working rights

Posting here for traffic as I'm unsure where I stand. NC as could be outing.

I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and work in a healthcare/retail environment. It's a small-medium sized department (usually 3 members of staff at once and no less than 2).

We are short staffed tomorrow (1 on annual leave and 1 sick) and manager has decided it's their day off as they are working today. I checked the rota showing they're off along with my usual colleague (sick) and there is no one else in until 12:30pm. That leaves me alone for 3.5 hours or the entire morning.

There were a few things in my risk assessment regarding reaching for things on top of shelves and bending down low, both of which are daily occurrences that my colleagues help with. Manager is also aware I'm suffering with SPD this time round (2nd baby) and is making things quite difficult.

AIBU to feel this isn't fair - as a manager he should try and cover my colleagues shift with either another colleague or himself, even just for a couple hours?

Have you raised this with your manager? Remind him that you will be unable to do the specific tasks in your risk assessment and ask what the protocol will be if those tasks are required whilst you are working by yourself in the morning.

@Overthebow so I brought it up when I seen the rota last night. The response I got was 'I'll let you know tomorrow if 'X' can come in earlier'

I spoke to 'X' myself and now know they aren't able to come in earlier, so I'm still awaiting for my managers message.

make It clear to him that whilst you are ok to work tomorrow, you will not be safely able to do the tasks as per your risk assessment, and so if they arise then you will not be doing them. Do you have HR that you can copy in?
