Mother of the bride outfit

Long story short, I married my childhood sweetheart when I was 22 (16 years ago). We've been divorced for 10 years, and I'm getting married again. My mum has decided she's going to wear the same outfit to my second wedding that she wore to my first. AIBU or is this weird???

Meh, I know a bride who wore the same dress twice, now that was weird.

That is weird!! Mine was put in a charity clothing bin 🤣

She's showing no interest in your wedding but sending photos of an outfit option? That's showing interest

So is she wearing it or just getting your opinion?

What did tou reply ? I think I'd have to say I'd prefer it if you wore something else . It just lacks enthusiasm or something

Is money tighter than you realised for your Mum? Or does she worry about money a lot? At the risk of getting a chorus of "LTB" from everyone here, my DH got married to me wearing the same suit he had worn for his first wedding (his second, my first). We were both unemployed at the time and we had no money. It was his only suit and we couldn't afford another one. It didn't upset me, in fact I thought it was quite funny.

That was 37 years ago and we're still married. He has just supported me through a cancer battle and made me realise all over again that marrying him was the best decision I ever made.

Yep, very odd.

I don't think it's weird. As long as she looks and feels great. It's not like she's turning up in jeans and a jumper!

I'd think she's making some sort of statement/having a dig. Don't rise to the bait.
