I have an old friend who used to live three hours away, then moved last year to a town about 40 minutes drive away.
We travelled to see another mutual old friend in the summer, and travelled together. I offered to drive, and picked her up from her house before travelling onwards. It was a detour of around an extra half a hour for me to pick her up.
Now we're visiting a different friend together next weekend, and she's said it's her turn to drive, but has told me to drive to her house and we can go from there, despite my house being sort-of on the way to where we're going. It would mean a detour of about 20 minutes for her to pick me up from home.
AIBU to expect her to just pick me up?
Am I being unreasonable?

Not unreasonable. Can you not say “could you pick me up like I did for you?”
DisplayPurposesOnly · 24/09/2022 15:09
'Expect' is unreasonable. Just say you think it would be easier if she picked you up.

She’ll be the sort who will want petrol money too I bet. Anyway, I think she should collect you really.

Just ask this?

You're being unreasonable to make a post about it. Just ask her to pick you up from your house because you picked her up from hers. Or do you need the consensus of the whole world before you speak to anyone?

Just say it makes more sense for you to collect me, you know, like I did
