To feel so fed up!

Over the last 5 years, I've been seriously mentally unwell and now on lots of meds, I've had Covid twice and Long Covid and developed an under active thyroid. Basically, I'm exhausted and lethargic all the time. I've just had a blood test done and it shows I have low iron and B12 and also high Serum C reactive protein. So just another thing to make me feel like this. It seems like every time something improves like Long Covid, then something else has to come along to make me feel awful.

I’m not surprised you are feeling fed up! I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad run of health but it’s good these problems have been identified as B12 deficiency alone can make you feel so tired, so with all of those things together any medical help will hopefully make you feel so much better. I really hope you can get the medications you need quickly and try to hold on to the fact that soon this bad run could be over.

I felt like this a few years ago. I made a conscious decision to very gently and slowly start building myself back up again. I decided that outside of my essential obligations, I would do nothing thst wasn't good for my health or fun.
Totally overhauled my diet so the only things I take in are the foods I know to be especially good for me. Started the world's gentlest excercise plan, just walking at first, in sunlight and green areas if I could. Made sure I absolutely prioritised rest and sleep. Obviously it's not a cure for health conditions, and i know it sounds a bit trite, but its truly made a huge difference to me and gave me the feeling I was taking some control back.

Thank you so much.

That sounds great. I've been trying to do the same. I was doing C-5k but I stopped when the weather was so hot. It is proving hard to get the motivation to get back on it. I was also doing quite well with my diet but I'm struggling due to the cost of food going up so much. But yes, I think getting that control back does really help mental health.
