I know it's wrong but you know when somebody comes on here already deciding they aren't unreasonable and then everyone tells them they are being massively unreasonable and then they get all defensive, i don't want to be mean but it is quite funny when they try to justify themselves but just end up digging themselves into a deeper hole and then the old 'i didn't think everyone would be so mean' which is really code for 'why isn't anyone agreeing with me'

Op I think it's really important to remember that sometimes mumsent is the only recourse people have to try and sound out certain problems in their lives.

I certainly know when I ask sometimes about a situation I pray 🙏 the kinder, wiser ,poster's come on and comment, not the absolute bullies!
There are some poster's who just want to cause trouble unfortunately and I don't know why MN doesn't identify them and warn them.

It used to be the teaching threads, anything anyone posted about a school were pilled on and attacked.
It got to the point where people on a parenting website couldn't ask about school stuff.

Unfortunately sometimes you have to hope the strange bored posters go away until that one good post that resonates and helps

And then of course people who disagree are “just jealous”

No I post what I want and don't worry what everyone says.
Your always going to get a wide range of opinions when you ask a group.
