Annoying lazy memes are not communication

Acquaintance is in the habit of WhatsApping me various funny/less funny memes, think he gets them off Twitter mostly. WIU to respond to one of those "all people who believe in x are morally and intelectually bankrupt" type political meme from some journalist with a genuine comment that as I'm married to such a person (which he knows) I don't agree and that I think these memes are stupid and basically lazy ad hominen attacks in disguise?
This is a professional person with a good degree who honestly should know better imo.

Are only people with bad degrees allowed to send memes?

VanGoghsDog · 22/09/2022 14:53

Just say "please stop sending me this shit", I've found that works.

03X · 22/09/2022 14:53

I like a good meme.

I love a good meme, and to me they're perfectly valid communication.

Like any form of communication, though, some people are better at it than others. I have a friend who is, hands-down, a genius with the Britney gifs.

Maybe your friend just isn't very good at memes.

ChilliBandit · 22/09/2022 14:56

If one doesn’t know if their degree is good or bad does that mean it’s bad and so one can continue to send memes? Asking for a friend.

(whisper) are you married to a Tory MP?
