I’m feeling a bit stuck in a rut, after the fun of the summer just feel a little urgh! Feel like I’m wasting hours with mindless scrolling on my phone & want to get a bit of my sparkle back! Any tips of small changes you have made to improve your mood / days?

Go outside Every Day. Swimming outdoors in summer, walking and cycling in winter. Even if it's just around the block, or a sit in the garden or park, if not feeling well. I'm always amazed, that l usually see something unexpected. I think the mind shuts down a bit being indoors online.

And whatever you plan to do, make sure you prioritise it as much as you would the duty stuff. Good luck.

Inspired by this thread, and knowing how much exercise has always helped me in the past, I've resolved to try and get in a 20-25 minute powerwalk in my lunchbreak where I can (I have 30 mins for a lunch break and need to change shoes etc to do this!). I already walk to work (40 mins each way) but not at a speed sufficient to get out of breath. Been out today for the first time and already feeling the benefit! I didn't leave the house at all yesterday, not even to go into the garden..... I'm also working on upping my water intake, and wearing my blue light glasses (non prescription, but slightly yellow tinted to cut out the blue light from computer screens) as I know these both really help reduce my headaches when I do!

Working on myself. Started the Couch to 5k app and go on the exercise bike for 30-45m each evening while reading a book or something. Feel better knowing I'm treating my body well and hopefully increasing my longevity!

Making sure I have time to myself every morning before I get the toddler up, to sit and have a cup of coffee while reading the news or something.

Booking nice things into the calendar for the coming weeks/months. I always feel happier with plans in the air!
