Chickens and bird flu - it's a neighbour one

Hi all, hoping for some opinions (and happy to be told I am overreacting!)
My neighbours have chickens; kept at the top of their garden, on our boundary wall. Two cockerels, and about six or seven hens. They're letting them wander all over the garden at the moment despite us being in an area where there are stringent bird flu regulations. I wouldn't usually bother but my husband is very ill and receiving long term treatment which lowers his immunity considerably. I am really not keen to pick a fight (they're unfriendly at the best of times despite us trying to establish a neighbourly rapport with them) but I am worried; as if we don't have enough stress at the moment! I've looked at various sites to try and establish whether there's a risk to his health but am getting more rather than less confused.

Anyone know if there is a risk or if there's anything I can do?

There's very little risk to you. If the chickens are bounding around they won't have bird flu. I would be reporting them to defra or apha though. It's a serious breach and can have huge consequences for farmers and wildlife. You can report anonymously I'm sure and they'd be visited Vee very quickly.
