AIBU?

AIBU to not stay away from my baby when I am sick?

Baby is 7 months old. Today I feel floored. Chills, aches, headache the lot. Not so worried it's COVID but worried it's the flu. Was thinking of staying away from baby and letting hubby care for her in case it's flu and she gets it, as it can be dangerous to small babies. But she's distraught and doesn't understand. What's the normal thing to do?

You need to be with your baby. And get the flu jab as soon as you can

Stay away. If you feel shit just imagine what your baby would feel like?

Let hubby deal with the baby. It will be good for them both.

I couldn't imagine thinking like this.

Obviously try to avoid sneezing & coughing all over her, and practice good hand hygiene, as I'm sure you do anyway.

But no way would I try to completely stay away from my small baby. Hopefully they'll stay well, but if not, they'll be ok overall.

However in terms of your well-being, absolutely get DH to do as much as possible so you can rest.
