Ive got a small, lightweight dog which I need to put in a carrier and circumstances mean I cant leave her. It sounds like a ridiculous idea, but I obviously dont want to put my dog in the pram or be carrying it around whilst pushing a pram and Ill have my arms full. I want something that preferably isnt obviously a dog carrier that attaches to it somehow. I am not sure how it would attach but I am considering something like this. I tried to find one for prams and couldn't. I havent seen anyone do this before so feeling nervous about it but if by any chance you have or think it could work let me know. I want to be more sure before I buy one. Thanks

You can buy carriers for dogs like babies.

Hang on, I’ll find one

Soubriquet · 12/09/2022 14:53

this sort of thing

OldEvilOwl · 12/09/2022 14:53

Can you post a link so we can see how it attaches? and which pram do you have?

Handsnotwands · 12/09/2022 14:56

What sort of pram have you got? My dog used to hitch a ride in the basket of a Phil and teds

grandsalam · 12/09/2022 14:57

What about making a bed for the dog under the pram?

Soubriquet · 12/09/2022 14:59

Just googled the pram and you can adapt that basket. Place a dog bed in it, and add a carabiner clip to the side so the dog is secure in

I put my 6kg dog under the buggy

She gets cross when I forget she's there and lob shopping at her head but otherwise it works well, bern doing it since she was a puppy

I would avoid the baby-carrier style of carrier for dogs that you strap on to your body - the position the dog is held in is quite unnatural for them and can hurt their backs and legs if they're carried like that for more than a few minutes. Something where they can adjust their own position and get comfortable is better.

Should work ok. I used to have a dog buggy for my elderly jrt. He couldn’t jump into it but could jump out.

If he wanted to get in and I didn’t pick him up quick enough, he would climb into the basket

DD has a Radley Handbag that a dog carrier. Most of the time he's so tucked down in it people don't know he's there until he pops his head up for a nosey.
He is extremely small though.

I will add, it's half that price in the Outlets.
