To have said NO to lending my mower to neighbours kids

A few minutes ago, my neighbours kids came over all dressed up for doing gardening work and asked me to lend them my mover.
Well, no way because, 1st of all why are they not at school? 2nd What do they think they are going to achieve when the grass is still soaking wet?
And 3rd, why can't they go and ask their immeadiate neighbour who has a petrol mower which would be much better as mine is just a small hover mower and i don't want it damaged
thank you very mutch.
They've really got on my nerves this week, borrowing loads of stuff, like nail polish remover, 3 nights in row wanting a cup of sugar and always seeming to need to borrow our footpump.
I've really got to think of something to borrow off them, but they are a very disorganised familly and they probably would not have it anyway.

The boy is 11yrs and the girl is the eldest at 12yrs.
The boy does get into trouble at school often and gets excluded, so his mum thinks its good for him to get out when he's at home.
In the summer he is out there all the time with a mower cutting all the grass he can see, but lots of people don't let him into their garden as if he hurts himself they could be liable.
He has wrecked at least 3 mowers in the same number of years.
I've had my mower 8 yrs and i would like to keep it thank you.

YANBU. Tell him if he wanted a lawnmower he should have asked for one for xmas,.

Apart from it being the wrong time of year for cutting grass, that little boy should not be allowed near a petrol mower, even WITH an adult to supervise.
A child would not just ask for the mower unprompted so it must be the parent at home sending him round.
You will have to draw a firm line and stop lending them anything as it sounds like they are mooching from you.

YANBU. Apart from anything else they could easily be injured. Absolutely no way.
