We went for a cheeky day out, found a car park and parked up.
At the pay station was one of them Q box thingies to download the info and pay.
We did it , it didn’t work and there was a gaggle of folk having the same issue.
With a bit of faffing we managed to pay.

Anyway, getting some stuff out of the boot a couple of ladies, approached me and asked how to pay for parking. I explained that after some difficulties that several people had encountered we had managed it as the board says electronically.

The weirdest thing, lady number one got really really stroppy with me. Saying that she doesn’t have a phone or computer to pay for parking. How the hell was she supposed to pay with no phone, she doesn’t own one.
She was raising her voice and really getting annoyed.
She demanded to know why she couldn’t pay with coins. I replied that I don’t know and that as far as I could see, it’s electronic payment only.
She then shouted at me, “well I’m leaving my car and don’t know what will happen”.
I was fucked off by this time at being fucking shouted at by a stranger so I said that she should expect a fine through her door, shut my boot and walked off.
WTF Is wrong with people! I don’t own the car park! I didn’t know she doesn’t have s phone! I was being helpful & chatty I thought.

AIBU to think “bay shit” lady was not right.

It’s more annoying when you use the app to book in advance, have a lovely day and then get a threatening letter demanding lots of money a few weeks later.
JustPark app in Brighton, I’m looking at you.
I appealed and won, having kept the receipt, but had no one to rant at.

I messed up recently when all the signs said “pay by phone”, none said “Ringo”, so I used the “PayByPhone” app and got fined, as they use Ringo…

I went to a retail centre and did a bit of shopping. I went to put some bags in my car, but I still had more things to get. There was a woman leaning against the car next to mine and another car had parked rather close to it - she said she couldn't get into her car and would I mind moving. No problem, i said, and she watched me put my bags into the boot. Then I just drove forward into an empty bay but when I got out, she yelled at me because she actually wanted me to move the car she was leaning on! And she definitely didn't like me laughing at her getting so irate with me for being the driver of the wrong car.

There’s an app for a car park at a remote beauty spot I went to last year. There was no bloody signal on my phone! Cue lots of holding the phone up and walking to various parts of the car park to get a bar!

We SO should have a cheeky section!
I have cheeky baths to get away from the kids. Cheeky biscuits hiding in the kitchen so I don’t have to share.
Cheeky extended shopping adventures on my own without kids asking for stuff, send DH off to another dept with the kids so I can browse in peace.
Cheeky lie ins when DH takes kids to footy at weekends.

Ahhh man, all my cheeky adventures involve escaping my miracle children!!!

So this is what it's like to not be a single parent. Sounds bliss!

Tbh I would have just paid on the app for her. If needed take the cash from her. Wouldn’t have hurt you to be nice

I've done this before at a car park once, it didn't take much time and the lady was so grateful as she had an appointment to get to and didn't have time to find another car park, I really felt for her.

I came back to a bunch of flowers left on my car - I assume it was her!
