Just wondered if anyone else can remember experiencing this ? Remember being able to touch the ceiling in my bedroom almost as of rising upward….sounds bizarre but remember not being scared just it happening…. Sounds mental I know….

Oh wow I am feeling very validated! I didn't know others had this and never knew how to explain it. For me it was lying in bed and having the sensation of everything being black and kind of getting bigger and rushing past me, a bit like falling. But I was awake I think. So surreal. Never had it as an adult.

Yes I had this, and still do sometimes. I regularly lucid dream as well, they are almost always pleasant and in most I can fly really high, or bounce really high up.

I try a bit of astral projection from time to time too.

I have this but in dreams. The way I fly around is a bit like breaststroke swimming, but through the air 😂
Also because I know I'm dreaming, I tend to jump off cliffs and such like and the fall is quite slow and then I do it several more times then I wake up as I 'hit' the ground.

Gosh yes and very frequently! Into adulthood too but stopped about 5 years ago (I'm in my 50s).

I had this as a child and thought it was fun. It happened to me as an adult a long time ago and it really really freaked me out. So much so I found some help to get over it. It's definitely sleep paralysis.

I sometimes get the Alice in Wonderland thing (I had no idea it had a name - I feel better now!!) When I’m going to sleep I sometimes feel absolutely massive in my bed, like a giantess in a tiny bed! Can’t say I’ve ever had any out of body experiences though.

I have memories of flying at night time when everyone was asleep, just across the landing. Definitely felt more like an out of body experience than a dream.

The floating thread is fascinating

I had dreams as a child that I was floating around the house and it felt real but I knew they were dreams.

I've had a tremendous number of these nobody believes me and the people that witnessed the most frightening one that I can remember hardly remember it I don't know what to talk to what resources are out there but I have a feeling they're going to start happening again I don't want them to I don't want to go back where I was I'd rather die
